Why use a browser-based PDF tool?
Most free PDF tools online are actually web front-ends that upload your files to a cloud service, run the conversion, and download the result back. That means your PDFs — which may contain contracts, invoices, medical records, or sensitive research — briefly live on someone else's server.
Freesuite's PDF tools are different. Every operation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. There is no server-side processing, no cloud storage, and no logging of what you convert. This is safer for sensitive documents and faster for normal ones (no upload/download round trip).
Three tools, one job each
Merge PDFs with Freemergepdf
Drop multiple PDFs onto the page, drag to reorder, click "Merge" and save. No page-count limit, no watermark. Useful for combining multi-page scans, consolidating research papers, or assembling chapter PDFs into a single document.
Convert images to PDF with Freeimagetopdf
Accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, and most common image formats. Produces a clean single PDF with each image as a page. Common use: scanning receipts with your phone camera, then assembling them for an expense report.
Export PDFs as images with Freepdftoimage
Converts each PDF page into PNG or JPG at configurable quality. Useful for web previews, thumbnails, sending a single page as a chat image without a PDF viewer.
How Freesuite compares to Smallpdf, iLovePDF, and Adobe Acrobat
Smallpdf and iLovePDF are polished services with more features (OCR, e-signature, compression) but require a signup for almost all operations, impose daily limits on free plans, and upload your files to their servers. For a simple one-shot merge or conversion, the round-trip is noticeably slower and less private.
Adobe Acrobat is the gold standard for PDF editing but requires a paid subscription for most advanced operations. For $150+/year.
Freesuite is only for quick operations — merge, image-to-PDF, PDF-to-image. If you need OCR, form filling, or PDF editing, Acrobat or Smallpdf are better fits. If you need to just combine three files into one and get on with your day, Freesuite is faster.
Privacy and security
Because all processing happens in-browser, your files never touch a Freesuite server. There is no logging, no analytics on file contents, and no storage. If you close the browser tab, the files and the merge result are gone from anywhere they could have existed.
This also means Freesuite PDF tools work offline. After the page loads once, you can disconnect from the internet and keep using the tool. Useful on planes, in secure environments, or when dealing with confidential client documents.
Works on any device
All three PDF tools are fully responsive and work on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. No app install needed. They can be added to your home screen as Progressive Web Apps for offline use.
